Think for a moment, what makes a trailer-sailer genuinely a joy to use. The answer to this comes in the form of a combination of features, all of which are designed into the Viva Yachts. Features such as; * Fully retracting centre-plates - No keel stubs means that the yacht sits low on the trailer keeping the centre of gravity down, making for easy towing. Also this allows for shallow water launching and recovery. Because the yacht's ballast is fixed in the hull, the centre plate itself is relatively light and requires only a very simple, low effort and therefore reliable and low maintenance raising system. * Light weight - Use of modern materials and construction methods, such as a fully fibreglass inner hull liner and Airex cores, mean that the yacht is as stong as more traditionally built yacht but light enough to be towed by a modest family car. Even our flagship model, the 23' Viva 700 has an all up towing weight of around 1,900kgs. * Mast raising equipment and fast rigging by ONE PERSON - NO HELP NEEDED! - Rigging the Viva yachts is as simple as rigging any dayboat, and the bespoke mast raising option, available for all Vivas, makes what is traditionally the most difficult aspect of trailer-sailing into an extremely quick, simple, safe and fun operation. * Custom supplied UK road trailers - New for 2007 we are supplying a choice of either a bunk or roller trailer from SNIPE marine trailers. The trailers are custom ordered by ourselves and tailored to ensure a perfect fit and perfect balance for confidence on the road. |
